Nantia Moutsouroufi

She is a graduate of the Department of Physics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where she received her Master’s Degree in Astronomy, Astrophysics, and Mechanics. She is active in research on planetary magnetospheres and space weather. She worked in science communication for the Hellenic Space Center. She was the Public Engagement Task Leader for the European-funded (Horizon 2020) research project SafeSpace: radiation belt indices for the safety of space systems.

For more than 15 years she was Head of Office Administration of the Hellenic Thoracic Society and has organized more than 50 scientific events of all sizes and types. Since 2016, she is the coordinator of the university team SpaceGates for the dissemination and public outreach of astrophysics and space, and has participated in numerous outreach and communication events for children and adults.

She has organized an academy for training physics students in science communication techniques and tools, which is offered as an online course through funding from the European organization Europlanet and host organization PeriAstron.

As a musician (singer), in her activities she combines music with science communication.
