Participation in World Space Week 2023

True to its commitment to support actions related to the dissemination and communication of Astronomy, PeriAstron gladly accepted a proposal to participate in an event for World Space Week 2023. We were present at this celebration, in collaboration with the Department of Astrophysics, Astronomy and Engineering of the Department of Physics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Space Physics Group, SpaceGates, and Space Coffee. The event took place at the Physics Department on Sunday, October 22, 2023.

Young and old enjoyed excellent speeches by distinguished scientists, educational activities, as well as observations through the PeriAstron telescopes. Everyone was thrilled by the experience of direct observation via telescope.

As PeriAstron we are open to proposals for collaborations from both the professional and amateur community, and look forward to further actions aimed at communicating Astronomy to the public.
