Our mission is to contribute to the dissemination of the natural sciences, with an emphasis on astronomy. We develop educational and cultural activities aimed at students, experts and the general public. Our goal is to promote and cultivate critical thinking and the use of scientific methodology. We create networks of cooperation between educators, researchers and the society. Our multifaceted mission is as follows:
Dissemination: We seek to bridge the gap between the vast universe and the curiosity of each individual. We aim to provide accessible and engaging media, from stunning visuals to simplified scientific explanations, to ensure that knowledge about the universe is understood by people of all ages and experiences.
Education: We believe that learning acts as a catalyst to understand and discover the wonders of the universe. PeriAstron is dedicated to fostering a lifelong love of science. We create and curate educational materials, programs and opportunities, empowering students of all ages and adults to explore the mysteries of the universe.
Research: We actively support and conduct research in the fields of astronomy, astrophysics, space and planetary science. We collaborate with experts, institutions and all interested individuals to push the boundaries of human knowledge.
Networking: We recognize that collective action magnifies the effect of individual efforts. PeriAstron acts as a platform to connect scientists, educators, students and the public. Through conferences, workshops and online communities, we foster collaboration, debate and the exchange of ideas.
